Fairy Forest - Skylands

I've been working on this skyland for quite a while now, I actually finished almost all of it a few weeks ago, but I felt like something was missing. Today, I added the finishing touches and I'm quite proud of it! Here's an overview:
It's basically a tiny Birch Forest with a pond, a cake shoppe, tons of flowers, and tons of bunnies. My original thought was to make a sort of Wonderland-vibe tea party, but I couldn't figure out a way to make a really convincing table in small area.

Here's a view from a side:

A different view:

And a view from the very back:

This is a picture of Mrs T's Cake Shoppe, which I built for the Tea Party theme. I liked this out of all the other decor, so I kept it even when I scrapped the rest of the theme.

As you can see, it is a pretty Skyland, but it look even better at night!

All of the trees have lights in the very tops of them, and the pond has some sea lanterns at the bottom of it.

There will definitely be more Skylands coming soon!

Village Skylands Update!

~~~
Quick Note! Sorry about such a long delay in posts, I was camping in a different state for a week, and when I finally got back to a place with internet, I had computer problems for another week. :P So, without further delay, here is an update I've been meaning to post for weeks!
~~~
A few weeks ago (^^), I noticed a slight decline in villagers on the village skyland. So, I dropped down below it and saw this:
Stupid villagers.
These are just the ones that were lucky enough to land in the water.
So, to prevent any further suicide attemps (or just plain stupidness), I added this fence around the whole skyland:

Yup.

Well, more skylands coming soon!

Sky Village - Skylands

Yesterday, I finished construction on the first Skyland: a sky village! It's features include: a river with a bridge, a blacksmith, a library, two houses and of course - villagers!
I'm so excited about the Skylands and I think we're off to a good start!

More Skylands coming soon!

Fun New Idea ~ Skylands!

Recenty, I was looking through the Minecraft Construction Handbook and came across a really cool idea: floating islands! I decided to do something like that and call it Skylands. The idea is to make a ton of these little sky islands, each with a different theme, then to connect them with bridges.I've already started one of them, and here it is:
This is just what it looks like before I add the details on top.
All the islands will be totally unique, with rivers, hills, buildings and whatnot. I already have a ton of ideas for the Skylands, and I can't wait to see how awesome they'll be!

Apple ~ Pixel Art

Today's pixel art project is this delicious-looking apple design! It was made to look like the apple item in Minecraft (duh), and can be recreated using the following blocks:
~5 brown stained clay blocks
~72 red stained clay blocks
~6 white stained clay blocks
~34 black stained clay blocks

This design is simple, and I really like making pixel art that looks like foodstuffs, so...

Zoidberg is my favorite Futurama character, and I love this pixel art design! I suppose it would be easy to recreate, it's pretty simple. Here's the blocks it's made of:
~78 red wool blocks
~10 cyan wool blocks
~41 wool blocks
~4 gray wool blocks and
~75 black wool blocks

More awesome pixel art coming soon!

Awkward Frog ~ Pixel Art

With the strange placement of his legs, extremely far apart eyes, and incredible wide mouth, this frog is just, well, awkward. This design is really quite basic, made up of only 3 different block types, listed here:
~183 lime wool blocks
~28 wool blocks and
~137 black wool blocks

Well, um, this is awkward. Bye, I guess.

Sweet Cupcake ~ Pixel Art

One of my pixel art projects today was this super sweet cupcake! Complete with a cherry on top, this design adds a delicious pop of color to my design collection. It's 18 blocks high, 16 blocks wide and made up of these blocks:

~41 jungle wood planks

~2 yellow stained clay blocks

It's 16 blocks tall, and 16 blocks wide at it's widest. Here's the blocks I used to construct it:
~21 red wool blocks
~59 wool blocks
~29 light grey wool blocks
~39 grey wool blocks
~56 black wool blocks

New pixel art coming out soon!

Rainbow Space Invaders! ~ Pixel Art

On May 16, I created this super simple (and rainbow!) Space Invaders pixel art design! It's incredibly easy to recreate, being that it's only 9 blocks high and made with just 36 black wool blocks as well as these others:
~2 red wool blocks
~2 orange wool blocks
~7 yellow wool blocks
~7 lime wool blocks
~11 cyan wool blocks
~9 blue wool blocks
~4 purple wool blocks and
~4 magenta wool blocks
To make this, I actually just found a reference picture, started at the bottom and recreated it without any if the black blocks (other than the eyes), then later decided it would look better with the back outline.

New pixel art out soon!

BIG Surprised Patrick ~ Pixel Art

5 days ago, I added another BIG pixel art project! This time; Surprised Patrick! It's a monumental 42 blocks high! It's made up of 209 Pink Wool Blocks and 267 Black Wool Blocks, and the rest are here:
This design was a little tricky to recreate, but it was well worth it in the end!

Gary the Snail ~ Pixel Art

My pixel art project yesterday was Gary the Snail! I was inspired by a picture I saw of a similar design made in Minecraft, just as this one was. He's 15 blocks tall, and 20 blocks wide. He's made up of 8 different kinds of blocks, which are listed here:
~25 Red Wool Blocks
~10 Yellow Wool Blocks
~7 Lime Wool Blocks
~34 Cyan Wool Blocks
~5 Blue Wool Blocks
~31 Magenta Wool Blocks
~69 Pink Wool Blocks and
~74 Black Wool Blocks
New pixel art coming soon!

Watermelon! ~ Pixel Art

Here's another simple food-related pixel art design. This time = Watermelon! Just like the cake design, this consists of only 5 different kinds of blocks, which are listed here:
~47 Red Wool Blocks
~19 Lime Wool Blocks
~20 Green Wool Blocks
~22 Wool Blocks
~4 Black Wool Blocks
This is meant to look like the melon item in Minecraft, but you can modify it to look like the glistening melon item, instead! Just flip the design around, and try substituting black wool for gold blocks and all the other wool blocks for their stained clay counterparts.

Even more pixel art coming up soon!

Cool Zombie Guy ~ Pixel Art

Wheres his arm? Oh, wait, it's on the ground.
I added this Cool Zombie Guy (for lack of a better name) to my collection on the 13th of May.  Although it's not too big, it's pretty detailed, made up of these 10 blocks:
~4 Spruce Wood Planks
~5 Oak Wood Planks
~39 Lime Wool Blocks
~11 Lime Stained Clay Blocks
~12 Cyan Wool Blocks
~7 Blue Wool Blocks
~15 Pink Stained Clay Blocks
~7 Pink Wool Blocks
This zombie is definitely one of my favorite pixel art designs so far, even if he is decomposing as we speak. :)

More pixel art very soon!

Mr. Turtle ~ Pixel Art

This adorable little turtle (that I made on the 13th) is based off of a video by one of my favorite YouTubers, MagmaMusen. Mine isn't exactly the same as his, but I kinda like this version better. At it's widest, this design is 14 blocks wide. At it's tallest, it's 17 blocks. It's a pretty simple design, and here's the blocks it's made of.
~5 brown wool blocks
~74 lime wool blocks
~3 green wool blocks
~20 white stained clay blocks and
~82 (give or take) black wool blocks.

New pixel art soon!

CAKE! ~ Pixel Art

Yup, this pixel art design is a giant cake! I mean, who doesn't love cake, right??
It's incredibly simple, just 16 blocks wide and 14 blocks tall. There's only 5 different kinds of blocks involved, which you'll find right here:
~22 brown wool blocks
~7 red wool blocks
~38 orange wool blocks
~100 orange wool blocks and
~22 light gray wool blocks

This design can be made just a tiny bit more detailed by switching the light gray wool with gray wool, and adding a light gray shadow just like cake in MineCraft looks.

More pixel art soon!
-Risha

Mario and Luigi! ~ Pixel Art

I added this Mario and Luigi design to my world on May 12. It's 28 blocks high at it's highest. Based on a picture I'd seen elsewhere, Mario and Luigi are kind of a mirror-image of each other, except (obviously) Mario is red and Luigi is green. Also, Luigi's right leg is a a little skinnier than Mario's left.
Mario is made up of these blocks:
~46 brown wool blocks
~34 red wool blocks
~40 birch wood planks
~8 yellow wool blocks
~25 cyan wool blocks
~39 light blue wool blocks
~29 blue wool blocks
~30 white wool blocks and
~95 black wool blocks.
Luigi is generally the same, but you must substitue brown for green and red for lime.

I'll have more pixel art up super soon!

Pacman and the Ultimate Ghost ~ Pixel Art

This Pacman and Ghost design was made by me on May 12. It was inspired by two pictures I'd seen; one of a similar design made in Minecraft (the ghost was red) and a second that was just what I like to call the Ultimate Ghost. If you didn't know, the orange part represents the ghost Clyde, the red part represents Blinky, the light blue is Inky, the pink is Pinky (of course), and the dark blue represents what the ghosts look like after Pacman eats one of those big powerballs.
The Pacman alone is made up of 110 Yellow Wool Blocks and 48 Black ones. The ghost's eyes are made of lapis lazuli blocks so they would give somewhat of a contrast to the blue part of the ghost.
Stretching from the leftmost of the Pacman to the rightmost of the Ghost, this design is 32 blocks wide.
By the way, if you're looking to make the ghost, you'll need
~23 red wool blocks,
~30 orange wool blocks,
~38 light blue wool blocks,
~15 blue wool blocks,
~8 lapis lazuli blocks,
~22 pink wool blocks,
~24 wool blocks, and
~46 black wool blocks.

More pixel art coming up!

Rainbow Star ~ Pixel Art

On May 12, I made this super simple star design. It's kinda small, measuring 15 blocks and it's widest and 16 blocks at it's tallest. The pictures I'd used for a guide were usually just one color, so i decided to spice it up a bit by making it rainbow! Here's a pic:

If you want to recreate it, here's the blocks I used:
~8 Red Wool Blocks
~10 Orange Wool Blocks
~12 Yellow Wool Blocks
~13 Lime Wool Blocks
~11 Cyan Wool Blocks
~15 Blue Wool Blocks
~9 Purple Wool Blocks
~9 Magenta Wool Blocks and
~56 Black Wool Blocks

BIG Spongebob Pixel Art!

On May 10, I finished a big pixel art project; Spongebob!
It was actually the first project I made in the art-dedicated world I started, and I'm really pleased with it! The whole design is 30x35 blocks. Here's a pic:

The whole thing is made up of a whopping 613 Yellow Wool Blocks!

Tons more Pixel Art coming up soon!
